Kaiser High School
will present William Shakespeare's "The Taming of the Shrew."
This high-paced, action-packed production is set in Italy during the Renaissance. The beautiful but sharp-tongued Katherina (played by Kayla Olvera) has sworn never to accept the demands of any would-be husband. But when she is pursued by the wily Petruchio (played by Luis Ruiz), it seems that she has finally met her match. And as he meets her own caustic words with a feigned, capricious cruelty, Katherina quickly comes to understand the absurdity of her shrewish behavior, in one of the greatest of all comic battles of the sexes.
Performances will be on December 9-11, 2010 at 7:00 pm in the Kaiser
High School Multipurpose Room. Tickets are $5 presale and $10 at
the door.
