Kaiser Presents "The Mousetrap"

The world’s longest-running stage production is coming to Kaiser High School!  "The Mousetrap" owes its provenance to the late Queen Mary who demanded ‘an Agatha Christie play’ to celebrate her 80th birthday.  BBC radio obliged with a 30-minute thriller entitled, "Three Blind Mice," which eventually became "The Mousetrap," stretched to fill two hours on the stage and attracting hundreds of tourists and out-of-towners every week as part of the London experience.  Now, Fontana residents will have the opportunity to enjoy this murder mystery that has been mesmerizing audiences across the pond for the past 52 years.

This is a beautifully preserved example of a country house murder mystery; a throwback to theatre going in the thirties.  The setting is the Great Hall of Monkswell Manor in deepest Berkshire, soon to be cut off from the world by fast falling snow.  A body is found, tempers flair, an investigation ensues, and a killer is discovered.  Incredible moments of suspense and surprise keep the audience guessing until the final curtain falls!

The shows are May 15, 16, and 17; and the curtain will rise promptly at 7:00 pm.  Tickets are $5 in advance and $8 at the door.
