Fohi Presents "All Shook Up"

When a free-wheeling, motorcycle-riding, guitar-playing roustabout (Jeremias Castaneda) rides into a quiet mid-west town, life begins to get “All Shook Up” for the local grease monkey (Rebecca Maloney), her dad (Jorge Villegas), the local boy who secretly pines for her (Miguel Davalos), the diner owner (Jasmine Lopez, her daughter (Danielle Bolden), the uptight mayor (Lynn Beal), her son (Giovanni Dominguez), the sheriff (Paul Beal), and the museum curator (DeAnna Grove). Love is in the air as rock ‘n roll begins to infiltrate the minds and souls of the town folk and they begin to recognize the unjustness of segregation in their mid 1950’s lives.

Against the backdrop of Paul Beal’s set design, brought to life by technical director Lisa Sites and her crew, and under the vocal direction of Jonathan Arana and the choreography of Jordan Arana, the students of S.T.A.R. will tell their tale with the help of the timeless music of Elvis Presley.

Other characters in the musical include the warden (Raul Contreras), bus driver (Brandon Wallace), Fergus (Misael Hernandez), Henrietta (Jasmin Sandoval), and the barflies and angelettes (Laura Martinez, Brittany Mulgado, Carina Navarro, and Jasmin Sandoval).

Townspeople are played by Noel Araiza, Karem Arias, Daisy Au, Melissa Au, Jasmine Castro, Paola Castro, Daisy DeLaParra, Denise Diaz, Ruth Escobedo, Anthony Gutierrez, Reyna Mata, Mireya Mota, Andre Quinton, and Felipe Sanchez.
