A.B. Miller Presents "Snoopy"

A.B. Miller High School will present the musical comedy "Snoopy" based on the Charles M. Schultz comic strip Peanuts.  This sequel to the musical "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown" focuses more on the life of everyone's favorite beagle, Snoopy.

The play is series of effervescent vignettes, songs and dances, involving the audience in the entertaining world of these children and their furry friend (Snoopy, played by Andrew Mata).  As the kids leave for the familiar schoolyard, we find Charlie Brown (played by Jordan Smith) assuming the responsibility of his new role as Safety Patrolman.  Such fairy tale scenes as Linus' (played by Marcos Hernandez) vigil in the pumpkin patch as he awaits the arrival of the Great Pumpkin are offset by the amazingly sophisticated exchanges which often occur between the characters. As Lucy (played by Danielle Bravo) asks, "wouldn't it be wonderful to have your whole life to live over, if you knew what you know now?" The familiar frenzy of Linus on wash day (without his security blanket), as well as a poignant exchange between Peppermint Patty (played by Kimberlee Majorica) and Charlie Brown in Poor Sweet Baby further elevate the enjoyment factor in this delightful comedy.

The cast is rounded out by Karen Aresti as Sally Brown, Jahnesha Standley as Marcy, and Mikyla Chavez as the Little Red-Headed Girl.

Performances will be Thursday, October 22 and Friday, October 23 at 7:00 pm in the A.B. Miller High School Theatre.  Tickets are $5 per-sale (from a cast member) or $8 at the door.
