Dear DHIA Community and Families,

It is my pleasure to continue to serve as principal at Dolores Huerta International Academy for the 2022-2023 school year. We are thrilled to announce that we have received our authorization from the International Baccalaureate (IB), and we are now an official IB World School. Thank you for your patience and resilience throughout this process.

Our dedicated staff had the opportunity to attend conferences and professional development opportunities this summer. Our educators have been busy updating their engaging IB units for this new school year.

I want to welcome you to our 2022-2023 school year. We are looking forward to returning to in person events. As a safety precaution, only scholars will be allowed on campus the first day of school. Masks are optional and we will be checking scholars’ temperatures anytime we return from a break.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please reach out to Ms. Brenda in the office and she will be able to assist you with completing your volunteer application. You may also reach out to your child’s teacher to see if there is any way you can help from home if you are unable to volunteer on campus.
