Welcome to a new and exciting school year at Sequoia Middle School! The Sequoia staff and I are truly looking forward to getting

to know you, working with you, and providing you with a quality education that teaches the necessary skills to be successful in today’s world.

We have big plans and will continue to take strides to make Sequoia Middle School the best Middle School in Fontana!! This year our theme is “We Are Sequoia,” because when we come together like a team, we will achieve our goals and ensure that all students are successful.

This agenda has been developed to help you learn about Sequoia’s policies, procedures, and the services that we offer. It is a quick reference that you will find useful throughout this school year. It is also a useful tool for keeping track of homework, assignments, tests, quizzes, and important dates. Your parents and teachers will find it to be an excellent means of communication and a handy check for completed or missing assignments. Furthermore, you must not tear pages from your agenda or alter it in any way.

Sequoia will continue to implement Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS). This is an intervention system for establishing the social culture, learning and teaching environment, and individual behavior supports needed to achieve academic and social success for all students.

Students, please take time to learn about all of the activities that Sequoia has to offer and get involved. We encourage you to participate in these clubs and activities. Getting involved in these programs and becoming connected to Sequoia will help to ensure a successful year.
