Welcome to Eric Birch High School!
We hope you have enjoyed your summer break and are ready to start the 2022-2023 school year strong. As always, Eric Birch High School continues to be committed to school safety, supporting best instruction, and providing additional social-emotional and academic support for our students.
Eric Birch High School offers a credit recovery model that provides all students an alternative pathway to meet their graduation requirements while also providing grade level courses that prepare students for college, career, and life. Students that work through their individualized graduation plans can recover credits and transfer back to their home Comprehensive High School or stay with Eric Birch High School and graduate as a Baron.
We focus on differentiated instruction that is tailored to meet the needs of all students in preparing students to meet their academic goals, graduation requirements, and be prepared for college, career, and life. In the area of Career Technical Education, Eric Birch High School has a Microsoft Information and communication Technology Pathway that prepares students through Microsoft industry recognized certifications that prepare students for apprenticeships, entry into the technology industry, or entry into Community College for advanced industry certifications. To support our students social-emotional learning we have Multi-Tiered System of Supports with two full time Counselors, Climate & Culture Specialist, and a Licensed Therapist. Eric Birch High School has school wide expectations that are founded in Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports. We are also focused on incentivizing the school wide expectations through the implementation of PBIS rewards. Another way we engage students is through our participation in the Inland Empire Alternative Sports League with competitions in the following sports: softball, basketball, volleyball, and soccer. We are excited for what the 22-23 school year will bring and look forward to supporting all our students with meeting their college, career, and life goals.
We want to thank you for your ongoing support during these past few years as we continue to navigate the difficulties presented by the COVID-19 global pandemic. As conditions continue to improve, there are some simple things we can continue to do to provide a safe learning environment for our students and employees to thrive. For the full details regarding our COVID-19 protocols for 2022-2023 please visit our website at: www.fusd.net/coronavirus.
We know this is going to be an exciting year for our students and look forward to our continued partnership with you in ensuring their continued success and achievements for the 2022-2023 year.
