    Dr. Kathy R. Crowe, Ed. D., Principal

    Dr. Crowe comes to Locust Elementary with 10 years of experience as a principal and district office administrator in Fontana Unified School District and nearly 30 years of experience as an educator.  Dr. Crowe came up through the ranks, starting her career as a substitute teacher in Los Angeles Unified School District, then becoming  an elementary school teacher, teaching grades 1 through 5, then moving out of the classroom to become a Categorial Program Advisor for three years.  Afterwards, Dr. Crowe was recommended as a candidate for Assistant Principal, Elementary Instructional Specialist. She successfully became Assistant Principal and quickly promoted to Principal after three years. She led the staff and students at her school in Los Angeles to earn the award of California Distinguished School.  Dr. Crowe was hired by Fontana Unified in 2014 as the principal at Almond Elementary School. Dr. Crowe also worked in the Virtual Learning Program and Global Studies providing instructional support in history/Social Studies content, both under the Teaching and Learning Department in Fontana Unified.  Her hard work , dedication, and striving for excellence has led her to the role of instructional leader at Locust Elementary.     Dr. Crowe has been the Principal at Locust Elementary School since July 1, 2023.
