DHIA Community and Families,
I am excited about welcoming you to the 2023-2024 school year. Ms. Rivera and I are thrilled to be serving as your leaders and we are dedicated to ensuring your children receive a world class education in a safe and welcoming environment.
We want to welcome our new families to DHIA. We know that building a strong partnership with our families is key to the success of our scholars. We look forward to meeting all our new families at our Back-to-School nights on August 22nd for our K-2 families and August 24th for our 3-6 families. We will begin our presentation in the MPR at 4:30 p.m.
Our educators returned to DHIA for our 3 days of IB planning July 25, 26, and 27. We continue to improve our Program of Inquiry (POI), analyze data to prepare for our scholars’ needs, and set goals. We will continue this work throughout the year, and we are looking forward to welcoming our scholars back on August 3, 2023.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, please reach out to Ms. Brenda in the office and she will be able to assist you with completing your volunteer application. You may also reach out to your child’s teacher to see if there is any way you can help from home if you are unable to volunteer on campus.
Our PTO is looking for volunteers to assist with the events they are planning. You may contact them at DHIAPTOBOARD@GMAIL.COM.
We look forward to a fantastic year ahead and are eagerly awaiting our scholars.
At your service,
Sandra Loudermilk and Janet Rivera
