Student Leadership Team

  • Thanks to the tireless work of our Student Leaders, we have grown in capacity and increased our ability to do more for our students and community!​  If you are a current student who wishes to join the Leadership Team, please visit the office at your convenience.  Any current student at FAS who wishes to become a member can stop by the front office to get more information.

     

    Activities Accomplished:

    • Wrapping gifts and preparing certificates for hundreds of our students for end-of semester recognitions
    • Recycling to raise money for scholarships and student activities
    • Changing bulletin boards in classrooms and posting announcements
    • MPR kitchen cleanup and preparation
    • Preparing over 1,000 mailers for community members
    • ​Visiting classrooms to give presentations
    • Making large posters and boards to highlight various programs and classes at FAS
    • Preparing flyers for students to distribute throughout work sites and places of worship around the community
    • Placing announcements and inspirational and motivational posters in classrooms
    • Participating in Conversation Cafe with ESL students​
    • Participating and giving out information about FAS during the Citilink Resource Fair
    • Preparing gifts for College and Career Fair
    • Translating and distributing newsletters around campus to inform students of latest "happenings" on campus
    • Making 2 posters for FUSD district offices to represent the various programs and classes at FAS
    • Helping with College & Career Fair 
    • Taking our school's catalogs to various locations in the community
    • ​Taking pictures & posting a presentation in room 37 - Faces of Fontana Adult School
     
    • Setting up for WASC mid-cycle visit in room 37
    • Setting up College & Career Center - including walls, resources, cleaning, penants
    • Taking student survey information to every classroom
    • Putting up Oral Communication, Intro to Billing, Intro to Coding posters across campus
    • Participating in Focus Group to discuss citizenship class and increasing enrollment
     
    • ​Preparing boxes for every classroom to have students write thank you notes for teachers and staff
    • Preparing Valentine gifts for all staff and teachers
    • Distributing newsletters to every classroom 
    • Walking alumnus to HSE classes to motivate students to persevere and not give up on their education
    • Distributing catalogs to local businesses to distribute to the public
    • Preparing folders with employment information and FAS flyers to present at Coffee with the Principal events across the district
    • Preparing gifts for HSE students for the February challenge going on in every HSE classroom
    • Getting walls ready for painting throughout campus
    • Setting up student work on walls in various ESL classrooms​
