• Kelly Arena

Kelly Arena is the proud Principal of Hemlock Elementary School where she works to inspire excellence daily.

After graduating from Cal State Los Angeles with her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Mrs. Arena realized she had a calling to education.  “While finishing up my Psychology degree, I started a tutoring business and discovered my passion for teaching and education,” said Ms. Arena. “It was during this time that I realized I had a natural gift for motivating students and building their self-efficacy as learners. From that point on I focused on pursuing a career in education and couldn’t be happier with my decision.”

Mrs. Arena received her teaching credential at Cal Poly Pomona and soon after, earned her Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

Kelly Arena joined the Fontana Unified School District in 2005 as a teacher at Citrus Elementary School.  Mrs. Arena has taught both elementary school, middle school, and has served as an instructional coach at A.B. Miller High School.  Prior to coming to Hemlock, Mrs. Arena served as an Assistant Principal at both Fontana High School and A.B. Miller High School.

Kelly Arena has been the principal of Hemlock Elementary School since 2016.
