Welcome to the 2022 - 2023 school year! We are thrilled to welcome our students and staff back to school. We hope that you were able to relax and make special memories with your friends and family. Now it is time to look forward to a wonderful new school year as we fly back to the nest at Redwood Elementary, the home of the Eagles!
Our campus is such a special place to learn and grow. We are proud of our beautiful school and have high expectations for every one of our scholars. Our students are kind, compassionate, and eager to learn. Together with our dedicated staff, we strive to make connections with students to help them feel valued, accepted, and safe.
This year, students at Redwood will continue to be challenged academically and will learn like never before as they prepare for their college path.
We have three focus areas at Redwood:
- College going Culture
- Building Positive Character
- Love of Reading. Please support our vision with these three areas.
Redwood's Core Beliefs:
- All Students Can Learn! All Redwood Eagles Will Be Prepared To Go To College…No Excuses!
- Active Parent Engagement is Key to Student Success!
- Failure, Negativity, and Deficit Thinking are Not Acceptable!
- Teachers and Staff Lovingly Serve All Students!
- Effective Direct Instruction is the First Line of Prevention!
- Assessment Data will drive the Instruction.
We will continue guiding our mission to provide a rigorous, joyful, inclusive school environment. Our overarching goal is to encourage active student engagement to foster a lifetime love for learning. We must work together to ensure ALL our children have excellent attendance, develop strong study habits, and have a laser-like focus on learning. These characteristics and strong study habits will prepare them to succeed in college and beyond. Partnering with families is crucial to promote a healthy transition to school, both socially and emotionally. We ask that you continue to be an active participant in your children's education, as Redwood will continue to have an engaged parent base through our PTA, ELAC, Coffee with the Principal and School Site Council.
We encourage families to stay connected and informed by following our district website and announcements sent through Parent Square. In addition, our office is available during school hours, and you can contact us via email and phone to take your questions and provide assistance.
Sincerely,
