Welcome to the 2024-2025 School year at Almond Elementary. I hope this letter finds you all in good health and high spirits. As the new principal of Almond Elementary School, I am thrilled to extend my warmest greetings and look forward to meeting our scholars and families.
At Almond, we firmly believe that when we unite as a community, we can achieve greatness. Together, we will strive to create an environment that fosters growth, learning, and the pursuit of excellence. Our dedicated team of educators is committed to cultivating high academic performance among our scholars while also emphasizing the importance of forging authentic relationships and connections.
Our school follows the PBIS expectations which are to Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Make the Right Choices. We want to ensure our students are both excellent scholars and excellent humans to everyone they encounter. Their behaviors in and out of the classroom contribute to a safe school climate for all. We understand that education is not solely about filling minds with knowledge, but also about nurturing the confidence to try anything in life. Through a well-rounded and nurturing approach to learning, we aim to equip our scholars with the academic and social-emotional skills to embrace any challenge that comes their way.
As we begin this academic year, I encourage all parents, teachers, and scholars to actively participate in our school's activities and initiatives. Your involvement and support play a vital role in creating a vibrant and enriching educational experience for our young learners.
We want to encourage all our families to have 2 important apps on their phone or devices; Q Parent Connection and Parent Square. Q Parent Connection will allow you access your child’s portal to review their records and keep an eye out on their attendance and grades. Parent Square is our communication app which we will use to send daily and weekly reminders about important events happening here at Almond. Teachers will also use parent square to communicate classroom related matters.
I look forward to witnessing the growth and accomplishments of our scholars as they embark on this exciting journey with us. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions throughout the school year, please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff or administration. Our collective efforts will not only shape the future of our children but also strengthen the bonds within our school community.
Respectfully,
Dr. Alejandro Lopez
