FUSD Salutes our Outstanding IB Diploma Graduates
Julian Brambila and Maricela Moran-Felix in the blue IB Diploma sashes at Jurupa Hills
With the close of the 2016-17 school year, Jurupa Hills High School graduated its largest International Baccalaureate Diploma class to date with eight students completing requirements for the full-IB Diploma: Maricela Moran-Felix, Krisha Grace Vallejos, Luis Torres, Julian Brambila, Galilea Pastrana, Alejandra Diaz, Bianca Perez Ortiz and Andrea Florendo.
IB Diploma candidates have completed 6 core courses, many of which span two years, the Theory of Knowledge class, Creativity Activity Service (CAS) requirements, and an Extended Essay of 4,000 words. The depth of analysis, breadth of learning, and international open-mindedness are all notable strengths of IB graduates.
Not only does the IB Diploma Programme distinguish students in the college application process, but more importantly it prepares students to be critical thinkers with a sense of global perspective and balance as they enter college and the world beyond.
