Meet Annette Beasley, Principal of Randall Pepper
At the June 6, 2018 meeting of the FUSD Board of Education, the Board approved Annette Beasley as the new Principal of Randall Pepper Elementary School.
Dr. Beasley was born, raised, and has lived in South Central Los Angeles for her entire life. After graduation from St. Mary’s Academy in Inglewood, she continued her education at Loyola Marymount University where she earned a Bachelor of Art in Liberal Studies with a minor in Sociology and her Teaching Credential. She attended grad school at Pepperdine University where she earned a Master of Science in Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Administration, and Policy.
“I truly believe that I was called into the education profession because as far back as I can remember as a young girl, I always dreamed of being a teacher,” said Dr. Beasley. “I also had great teachers as I was growing up who showed me the importance and power of having caring adults in your life, so I made the decision to be one of those caring adults in the lives of others.”
She began her career in education as a teacher in Lawndale Elementary School District in the South Bay area of Los Angeles. “I have also worked as an intervention teacher, Language Arts specialist, and Teacher on Special Assignment (TOSA),” said Dr. Beasley. She entered administration and has served as the Principal of Highland Elementary School in the Inglewood Unified School District for the last four years.
“I am so excited to join the Randall Pepper team and I look forward to all of our endless possibilities!”, said Dr. Beasley
“I LOVE to plan parties and events and in my next career I would probably be a party planner, said Dr. Beasley. Randall Pepper can look forward to some fun school-wide events!
