Fontana Kaiser High School student wins first place in the National Shakespeare Monologue Competition

Kelly Bouslaiby holding first place trophy

Kaiser theatre student Kelly Bouslaiby won first place in the National Shakespeare monologue competition. She will represent Kaiser and Fontana Unified School District at the nationals in New York City in April.

Congratulations Kelly Bouslaiby, state ESU National Shakespeare monologue competition champion. Kelly won an all-expense paid trip to New York City where she will represent Kaiser High School and Fontana Unified at the Lincoln Center in New York. If she wins in New York she will travel to London to study theatre at the Globe this summer.

Kelly competed against theatre students all over Southern California. She interpreted and analyzed and created fully realized characters in a Shakespearean monologue, a sonnet and a cold reading. She will continue with these pieces in New York.

Happy FUSD Student
