Recognitions at the January 16th Board Meeting
During each monthly Board of Education meeting, time is allotted for recognition of students, staff, business partners, and schools that bring honor to the Fontana Unified School District and further its mission to improve the quality of education. There were several recognized at the Board Meeting on January 16, 2019.
Pledge of Allegiance
Olivia Brianna Alvarez, a 5th grader at Porter Elementary School, was selected to lead the Board of Education in the Pledge of Allegiance.
"Olivia Alvarez is a 5th grade model student at Primrose Elementary. She is currently the top reader at Primrose and was the first scholar to reach a million words back in November. Her career plan is to become an author of fantasy books that incorporate Greek and Roman mythology. She plans to pursue a college degree and possibly major in English and Writing. Olivia is an avid soccer player and currently plays forward for her soccer club, Team USA." said Superintendent Randal S. Bassett.
