A Parent Workshop on Historically Black Colleges & Universities (HBCUs)

This workshop has been specifically designed for ALL parents to learn the following:

  • What are HBCUs?
  • Who can benefit the most from attending HBCUs?
  • How do HBCUs admission requirements differ from California UC/CSU A-G requirements?
  • What are the opportunities to go out of state to attend a HBCU?
  • If my student gets a tuition scholarship to attend a HBCU, what is my responsibility as a parent?
Come hear from the CEO of UCAN Go to College, Community Members and Alumni who have attended a HBCU and learn more about the opportunities that are available.

Workshop will be Thursday, September 20, 9:00 a.m. –10:00 a.m. in the Multi-Purpose Room at Wilmer Carter High School, 2630 North Linden Avenue, Rialto, CA 92377.
