During each monthly Board of Education meeting, time is allotted for recognition of students, staff, business partners, and schools that bring honor to the Fontana Unified School District and further its mission to improve the quality of education. There were several recognized at the Board Meeting on September 26, 2018.

Pledge of Allegiance

Journey Sepulveda with Superintendent Randy Bassett and the Board of Education

Ivanamia Cobian, a six grader at North Tamarind Elementary School, was selected to lead the Board of Education in the Pledge of Allegiance.

"Ivanamia is a stellar student at North Tamarind. She is an exemplar of what it means to be respectful, responsible, trustworthy and fair. Ivanamia has served as student council classroom representative and is a natural leader. She has supporting parents and she in turn she positively supports other students. Her winning smile alone can brighten anyone’s day and she has a sunny disposition (even in the most challenging situations). We are proud to have Ivanamia represent North Tamarind.," said Superintendent Randal S. Bassett.
