Assessment, Accountability & Research

The Assessment, Accountability, & Research team is responsible for the administration of all state-mandated assessments such as the Smarter Balanced Assessments, as well as interim and college readiness assessments such as Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) and American College Test (ACT). Additionally, the team manages all reports submitted to the California Longitudinal Pupil Achievement Data System (CALPADS), the California Basic Educational Data System (CBEDS), and, as needed, the U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights. Also part of the team’s work are reports indicating compliance with state mandates such as Williams Case, which ensures that students have equal access to quality instructional materials, facilities, and teachers. Finally, the team processes applications submitted by individuals and organizations wishing to conduct research in the Fontana Unified School District.
