Oak Grove Preparatory Academy

Fontana Unified School District is proud to meet the growing needs of our community and students by constructing a new, state-of-the-art secondary academy focused on innovation, creativity, and future-ready learning.

Through pathways in Information and Communication Technologies, and Health Science and Medical Technology, Arts, Media, and Entertainment, students will engage in hands-on, interdisciplinary learning experiences that prepare them for success in college, career, and beyond.

The academy will also provide opportunities for students to accelerate their learning—taking high school courses during middle school and enrolling in college and university dual enrollment classes through our partnerships with California State University, San Bernardino and Chaffey College.

Description: A motivating, student-focused, and hands-on environment for grades 7–12, built around project-based learning and collaborative peer engagement.

Anne-Marie Cabrales

Principal

It is an incredible honor to serve as the founding principal of Oak Grove Preparatory Academy in North Fontana. With more than 31 years of service in the Fontana Unified School District, I have had the privilege of leading two exceptional schools; Dorothy Grant Innovations Academy, a California Distinguished School, and Wayne Ruble Middle School, recognized as a Schools to Watch campus. These experiences have strengthened my belief that when students are challenged, supported, and inspired, they achieve extraordinary things!

Our Academy is built on that same vision - a commitment to equity, innovation, and student success. We are designing a school culture where every student is known and valued, where learning is engaging and purposeful, and where students are empowered through choice and acceleration to reach their full potential.

Together, we are not just opening a new school - we are creating a community dedicated to preparing students for college, career, and life. I am thrilled to welcome you and your family to this exciting new chapter in Fontana Unified’ s story, and I look forward to the remarkable achievements our students will accomplish!

This academy is set to become a flagship school within the Fontana Unified School District, offering students a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. Middle school students will have access to high school-level coursework in world languages, performing arts, and career technical education (CTE). High school students will be able to complete multiple CTE pathways and participate in dual enrollment programs through Chaffey Community College and California State University San Bernardino before leaving high school!

CTE pathways offered at the academy include:

· Performing Arts (Orchestra, Band, Choir, Dance, Theater, & Stagecraft)
