Food Services
Welcome to the Fontana Unified School District Food Services Department!
Our mission is to support student learning and wellness by providing nutritious, high-quality meals prepared and served each day by caring professionals. We believe every student deserves access to healthy, appealing meals in a welcoming environment, and we are committed to providing exceptional customer service while supporting the health and success of every student.
Our menus are planned by Registered Dietitians and meet or exceed all USDA nutrition standards for calories, sodium, saturated fat, whole grains, fruits, and vegetables. We offer a variety of student-approved meals prepared with quality ingredients, including lean proteins, whole grains, fresh fruits and vegetables, locally sourced bread, and low-fat milk. Many menu items are made from scratch, and we continually seek feedback from students and families to improve our menus and introduce new favorites.
Students have a variety of meal choices each day, including vegetarian entrées at every school, fresh salads at middle and high schools, and multiple entrée options to accommodate different tastes and preferences.
Through California's Universal Meals Program and the National School Lunch Program, all enrolled students may receive one nutritious breakfast and one lunch at no cost each school day. Additional entrées, snacks, beverages, or other à la carte items may incur a charge. Students access their meal account using their assigned student ID number.
We are committed to meeting the nutritional needs of all students. Meal accommodations are available for students with medically documented food allergies or disabilities requiring special dietary modifications. Please contact your child's school nurse or health assistant for assistance.
Weekly menus, nutrition information, and additional program resources are available on the Food Services webpage. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact the Food Services Department at (909) 357-5160, extension 29200.
