Substitute Teacher Rate of Pay

$200/day or $100/half day for Substitute Teachers with 30-Day Sub Permit
$220/day or $110/half day for Substitute Teachers with a CA Teaching Credential
$220/day or $110/half day for Resident Substitute Teachers, FUSD Contract Teachers & Retirees

Applicants must meet the following requirements to be a Substitute Teacher:

Apply to the Substitute Teacher posting on Edjoin.org (during the posting period)
Hold a valid CA Teaching Credential or 30-Day Emergency Substitute Teacher Permit
- Applicant must hold a Valid CA Teaching Credential or 30-day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit to be considered for employment. If you do not yet hold a Valid CA Teaching Credential or 30-day Emergency Substitute Teaching Permit, please follow the steps on the link listed be-low to submit your credential application packet directly to the Commission through CTC Online.
