College Readiness
The Department of College Readiness leads the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of a District-wide, comprehensive college and career readiness system designed to expand student access to post‑secondary education and employment opportunities. The department ensures coordinated planning and collaboration across all high schools and District schools to cultivate a strong college‑going culture.
In addition to supporting students, counselors, teachers, and District staff, the Department of College Readiness oversees key college‑preparatory programs, including AVID, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), and Dual Enrollment. Through these programs and related initiatives, the department works to ensure that every graduate is fully prepared for success in college, career pathways, and lifelong learning.
