🌟 Student Spotlight

We are incredibly proud of Jurupa Hills High School senior Karla Louisa, who was named a 2025 Mentor of the Year by Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Inland Empire. Karla’s commitment to inspiring the next generation through STEM education and mentorship is a shining example of leadership in action.

🏆 Community Choice Champions

Fontana Unified was also named the "Favorite School District” in the Inland Empire by readers of the San Bernardino Sun and Redlands Daily Facts—a tremendous honor that reflects the hard work of our students, staff, and families.

Seven of our schools were also individually recognized as community favorites:

  • Alder Middle
  • Fontana High
  • Fontana Middle
  • Kathy Binks Elementary
  • Maple Elementary
  • Summit High
  • Wayne Ruble Middle

Thank you to our community for your continued trust and support!

🏅 Distinguished Excellence

We’re also celebrating three of our elementary schools—Beech Avenue, Date, and Shadow Hills—for being named 2025 California Distinguished Schools. This prestigious recognition honors their remarkable efforts to close achievement gaps and foster a positive learning environment for all students.

🔬 STEM Superstars

Our students are excelling in STEM, earning medals at the 2025 San Bernardino, Inyo, and Mono Counties Science and Engineering Fair (SIMSEF) in categories ranging from chemistry to physics to environmental engineering. These achievements highlight our students’ innovation, curiosity, and academic excellence.

🎯 In the Spotlight

Finally, we’re thrilled to see Fontana High School’s Marine Corps JROTC Marksmanship Program featured on ABC7 News. Congratulations to our cadets and to Senior Director Clarissa Trejo for helping tell our district’s stories so powerfully—and for being recognized as a “Rising Star” by the California Schools Public Relations Association!

Fontana Unified is full of bright futures, bold ideas, and boundless potential. Thank you for celebrating these moments with us and for continuing to believe in the power of public education.
