Mr. Antonio Viramontes
I was born and raised in East Los Angeles, California and graduated from Garfield High School in 1990. I graduated from the National Education Center in 1992 with an Associates Art Degree in Accounting and Business Finance. I worked in the accounting field for 8 years, meanwhile attending and graduating from Cal State Fullerton in June 2000 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Child and Adolescent Development. In August 2002, I received a Master of Education Degree in Education from the University of La Verne and in September 2004 received a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from Cal State San Bernardino. While working in the Ontario-Montclair School District, I taught grades 3, 5, 6 and was a Program Facilitator. In January 2006, I came to the Fontana Unified School District as the Assistant Principal for Oleander Elementary. In March 2008, I came to Oak Park Elementary as the Interim-Principal and in April 2008 appointed as the Principal. Since then, we have continued to work very hard to improve instruction best practices, and establish positive relationships with our students and families. In Spring of 2014, Oak Park Elementary was recognized as a California Distinguished School. I am married to my wife Shawna and have three beautiful children, Isaiah, Jaclyn and Anthony. Mr. Viramontes has been at Sequoia since July 2017.
