Fontana High School received a makeover thanks to the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation that partnered with Niagara Cares, Home Depot volunteers, students, and staff.
Over two days, three of the school site’s facilities were cleaned, organized, and painted; one facility received new gym equipment, and another received storage units for sports equipment. The estimated cost of the equipment is over $50,000. Also, the volunteers made landscape improvements.
In addition, the school’s coaches and students participated in a clinic on how to properly use the new gym equipment.
