At the CIF Southern Section Prelims, Michele Barrajas set a personal record by running under 18 minutes on a 3 mile course. Her performance earned her a berth in the CIFSS Finals the next weekend. This is the first time in decades (maybe all-time) that a female runner from Fohi has qualified for CIFSS FInals. Unfortunately, she was slowed by a hamstring injury at Finals and wasn't able to put up her best time, but she did put in her best effort.
